Canvas & Backgrounds

Transform your recordings with beautiful backgrounds and canvas modes.

What is Canvas Mode?

Canvas mode places your screen recording on a styled background, giving your video a polished, professional look. It's perfect for tutorials, product demos, and presentations.

Canvas Modes

Off (Disabled)

Original recording without background. Standard zoom crops into the video.

Crop (Fixed Frame)

Traditional zoom behavior. When zooming, the video crops to show the zoomed area. Good for focusing on specific UI elements.

Scale (Dynamic Layer)

Recommended

Video layer scales and moves on the background during zoom. Creates a cinematic "floating" effect. Best visual quality.

Use a static image as your background. Supports JPG, PNG, and other formats.

Design Tips

Match Your Brand

Use your brand colors for a consistent look across all your videos.

Subtle is Better

Animated backgrounds should complement, not distract. Use slower, smoother animations.

Dark Mode Content

If your screen recording shows a dark app, use a darker background for better contrast.

Scale Mode + Parallax

Combine Scale canvas mode with parallax effects for cinematic depth during zooms.
